Still, it was well gamestormnig and I haven’t seen this many brought together in one book. I felt it wasn’t for “Innovat Nice, well-written book with lots of interesting content. The second part of the book was rather dull because it shows the games but you can’t really apply them while reading. They prescribe a narrow range of gqmestorming and prohibit everything else. I do recommend it as a useful resource for anyone thinking about how to get their organization to brainstorm and work through new ideas, urgent issues, or ongoing problems. He actively obsessed with understanding what things are, the way they work, and why they matter. I am giving this book a tentative ganestorming.
It would have been nice to organize them by broader patterns or mechanisms instead of organizing them loosely in three big sections called “opening”, “exploring” and “closing” games.
Great book for finding different design exercises to do to unblock thinking. Chapter 3 Core Gamestorming Skills. The index is great for finding an activity and planning an agenda quickly. In reality, teams that have been together a little too long, fall easily into brainstorming ruts.
The book is not that great to just sit down and read, since after the intro it’s a list of different games on how to achieve an objective. The book presents a series of “games” that can be done to solve certain issues, such as prioritizing tasks, getting input and feedback from groups, starting or closing discussions, brainstorming and many more. This book is the result: Some fantastic ideas and concepts in here that will surely help you harness the full creative power of even the most withdrawn and quiet team Although I am deferring judgment until I have at least given this portion of the book a chance to redeem its whole, I remain uninspired and dubious. Although the long lists of games makes the book quite dry to read from cover to cover, it remains a good introduction to gamestorming and a useful list of recipes and building blocks before building your owns games.

Sunni presents regularly on the topics of graphic facilitation, graphic recording and visual thinking. Jan 23, Gabriel rated it it was amazing. Sunni was trained in graphic facilitation at The Grove Consultants International, a San Francisco-based company that pioneered the use of visuals in meetings and group processes.
It is a great source of information for anyone in leadership or management. They should have named their “games” activities and talk about opening activities, exploring activities, and closing activities, one activity of each stage building up a game.
