It is easy to tell yourself that things like this could never happen. The book is marked for middle grade kids, but just be warned that there is death and a bit of violence in the story. I am fez in awe of Gleitzman’s ability to convey powerful character and emotion through sentences simple yet potent, as per the previous Felix stories and also Grace omrris, which I highly recommend.

Through Felix’s innocent naive narration, we discover a world where everything is not quite what it seems and danger is lurking at every corner, all read with a poignant under layer where you, as a reader, know that some of the events are utterly true.

I LOVE this series – it is powerful, humorous, tragic and funny: After Once 4 by Morris Gleitzman. Thanks for telling us about the problem. They probably still get mouthfuls of soap for what they did during WW2 3.

This book puts it into the perspective of a boy, rather than an adult. But I still enjoyed it, though livro is probably because of the ever-vibrant characters and heart-warming narrative than any actual meaningful contribution made by this book to the series. Isn’t he safer in his cocoon?
